Every division in collegiate athletics is different when it comes to being able to communicate with potential student-athletes.
Understanding the differences in the divisions and what they can do as an institution is important in the recruitment process. Remember you cannot get in trouble for reaching out to schools. Rules are enforced only upon the colleges, not the players.
NCAA Division I, II, and III all have different contact rules. The NAIA has its own very different set of rules and finally, the NJCAA operates in their own way as well.
