• If you already have a confirmed visa appointment, it remains valid and will proceed as planned.
• The US State Department has confirmed this is a temporary pause to allow for the rollout of updated vetting procedures, including enhanced social media screening.
• The pause applies globally – including the UK, UAE, and Australia – but does not prevent you from submitting your visa application or preparing your documentation.
